The anticipated opening at the time of posting includes the specialty area of Secondary Education. The screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. The availability of positions varies from quarter to quarter, depending on the needs of the department. Positions may range from 10% to 100% time. The Supervisor's responsibilities include:
The posting will remain open until March 31, 2027 to accommodate department needs. The pool will close on March 31; if you would like to continue to be considered after that time, and the pooled position is advertised again, you will need to submit a new application. Teacher certification in the State of California or equivalent at the time of application. Minimum of three years experience as a lead public or private school classroom teacher at the time of application. Additional qualifications

At least one quarter/semester experience in providing professional development services to teachers/educational personnel, OR at least one quarter/semester mentoring new teachers or pre-service teachers by the time of appointment. Preferred qualifications
Master's degree in Education or related field, or equivalent experience. Prior experience with classroom supervision of pre-service teachers. Familiarity with the California Standards for the Teaching Profession (CSTP) and Teacher Performance Expectations (TPE). Knowledge of current policies and effective practices in K-12 teaching. Bilingual in Spanish and English (assessed on the CV, e.g., statement that candidate is bilingual in Spanish, teaching experience in a bilingual classroom) Familiarity with edTPA or CalTPA.
