Job Summary Summary: Responsible for serving as an advanced technical resource within the Sterile Processing Department. Performs complex reprocessing activities and supports staff development, quality assurance, troubleshooting, and departmental improvement initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and operational excellence.Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions: -Performs all responsibilities of the Sterile Processing Technician I and II roles. -Independently reprocesses complex surgical instrumentation, specialty devices, and advanced procedure sets in accordance with manufacturer's Instructions for Use (IFU) and departmental standards. -Serves as a preceptor and technical resource for staff, providing training and support related to sterile processing practices and instrumentation. -Performs sterilization/HLD monitoring, equipment testing, and quality assurance activities in accordance with departmental procedures and regulatory requirements. -Assists in identifying and resolving processing discrepancies, equipment issues, and quality concerns. -Participates in departmental projects, process improvement initiatives, and implementation of new instrumentation, equipment, and technologies -Supports compliance with applicable regulatory, accreditation, infection prevention, and departmental standards.
