Cape Fox Eagle Health is accepting resumes for a Board Certified Emergency Room Physician (ABEM) to provide services at MEDDAC Fort Stewart, Georgia.

The hourly rate for this position has been established at: $300.00. This rate represents the company's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.This job will be posted until filled or withdrawn.

Minimum of one (1) year of experience within the past two years, working as an Emergency Medicine Physician.

Schedule: The shifts are 0700-1900 or 1900-0700, and the schedule has both shifts available each day. Physician can pick the dates and shifts they want to work. They can only work 4 days in a week and there must be 12 hours' break in between one shift and the next.

Responsibilities:



  • Examines, diagnoses, stabilizes, and treats, patients presenting to the Emergency Department to include urgent and emergent conditions. Respond to codes, perform life saving measures and participate in mass casualty events.
  • Prepares and reviews case histories and clinical records. Medical records must be completed prior to the completion of the contract provider's shift. This includes both hard copy and electronic medical record documents.
  • Examines patients and determines requirements for clinical laboratory, radiologic, and other testing.
  • Interprets test results and evaluates examination findings. Prescribes treatment, including procedures as deemed necessary.
  • Manages emergency services. Formulates plans and procedures for emergency services. Responsible for medical supervision of midlevel providers.
  • Coordinates emergency services with other medical activities. Uses consultants in other specialties as appropriate.
  • Provides consultative advice to mid-level providers, clinical rotators and residents in methods and procedures for diagnosis and treatment of emergency conditions.
  • Performs and documents appropriately emergency procedures required to treat emergency conditions to include but not limited to endotracheal intubation, lumbar puncture, central line placement, ultrasound procedures, incision and drainage, suturing of wounds, FAST exams, and chest tube placement.
  • Physician will receive notification 3 days prior to the reassignment to another location. Performance of services under this contract may rarely be required in alternate locations on and off the installation to include but not limited to Winn Army Community Hospital, Hawks Soldier Medical Home, Tuttle Army Health Clinic, North Soldier Medical Home and Richmond Hill Medical Home
  • Maintains continuing education and training requirements not on paid government time.
