We are seeking a Security Assembly Technician 3to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.


Responsibilities

In this role you will be responsible for leading teams on all aspects of assembling equipment enclosures, equipment back panels, equipment wall panels, equipment racks, equipment carts. Populating carts with CCTV equipment, access control equipment, intrusion detection equipment, data communication equipment. Routing and terminating control and data cables.Kitting equipment for projects.Documenting equipment part, serial, and asset tag information.Final testing of completed products.Performing final QA-QC checks.Managing personnel and schedules for multiple projects. Verifying all material needed for projects is correct and accounted for. Communicating inconsistencies with material or assembly documents to upper-level management in a timely mannerand offering possible solutions to remedy inconsistencies.Verifyingprepofcompleted products for shipment.

  • Leading teams on small to complex assembly projects.
  • Verifying parts and equipment are available to perform assigned tasks.
  • Verifying drawings or blueprints are correct for assigned tasks.
  • Assigning personnel for tasks.
  • Reading and interpreting drawings, and cutting troughs, struts, lumber, and extruded aluminum to specified lengths.
  • Operating power tools to drill and tap holes, as well as to install and secure equipment
  • Assembling equipment carts.
  • Populating equipment on carts.
  • Mounting equipment in racks.
  • Assembling small, medium, large equipment enclosures.
  • Assembling small, medium, large equipment back panels.
  • Assembling small, medium, large equipment wall panel units.
  • Assembling and populating audio/video equipment credenzas.
  • Using a laptop to configure, program and IP cameras, while adhering to proper documentation guidelines.
  • Routing/securing/termination various types of wire and cables.
  • Verifying cable routing with multi meter.
  • Validating cabling is correctly routed and terminated via FAT.
  • Set IP addresses and upload firmware in cameras.
  • Properly kit materials for projects.
  • Properly Document equipment model/serial/asset information.
  • Familiarity with technology, including operating iPads and using OneDrive functions.
  • Perform final QA-QC checks on various stages of projects.
  • Verify finished products are properly prepared for shipment to various sites.
  • Communicate effectively with Supervisors and Subordinates.
  • Mentoring Subordinates and lower-level techs.
  • Set up, operate, and train subordinates on the CNC machine. Verify CNC files for accuracy and collaborate with the Production Supervisor to correct any errors.
  • Track projects and update project details in Job Connect.
  • Use a laptop or iPad to track projects and update project details in Job Connect.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent with 6+ years of experience
  • Must have reliable transportation.

  • Military mechanical, electrical,electronicstraining.

  • Graduation from an accredited Electronics program or Graduation from an Electrical Apprenticeship program or an additional2years of mechanical, electrical,electronicsinstallation and or maintenance.

  • 6+ years of mechanical, electrical, electronic installation and/or maintenance activities on multiple systems.

  • Strongbackground in use of hand and power tools.

  • Strongunderstanding of mechanical, electrical,andelectronic principles.

  • Ability to read and understand blueprints or assembly instructions.

  • Ability to work in a team environment.

  • Strong Oral, Written, and Presentation Skills.

  • Strong MS Excel, Word a plus.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Vendor certifications in multiple IDS, ACS,AV,and CCTV systems

  • Identiv/Hirsch Velocity, Bosch Radionics, Bosch CCTV, Bosch BVMS,AiphoneIntercom SystemsAiphone, FFT, DIVAR,CISCO, Crestron,Security +,Windows operating systems & certifications and experience in installation of said systems.

  • Software House CCURE, Verint/Capture

Abilities:

  • The position requires the ability to lift, carry, and move objects weighing up to [50 pounds] on a regular basis.
  • Candidates must demonstrate physical strength and stamina to perform various tasks, including but not limited to, loading, and unloading, operating equipment, and assisting in the transportation of various materials. Proper lifting techniques and safety protocols must be followed to ensure personal and team safety.
  • Relocates a 12 foot stepladder without assistance.
  • Works at various heights up to 60 feet and can climb and maintain balance on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks and all types of ladders.
  • Walks, climbs, lifts, squats, crawls, kneels, pushes, pulls and reaches overhead on a routine and repetitive basis.
  • Possess good vision (may be corrected vision), the ability to see in color, and the ability to hear and communicate in English.
  • May use a standard ladder without exceeding the weight limit while carrying tools.
  • Tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong. It does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem.

Pay Range

USD $29.00 - USD $43.42 /Hr.
