SMART Diesel Technician

SUMMARY- Mentorship Training Program. Trainee will work in shop with experienced mentor mechanics. Training will provide a wide range of real-world experience related to diesel truck repair. Must currently be enrolled in a Diesel Repair Program or have previous exposure to and strong interest in truck mechanics.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Other duties may be assigned:

• Light & Medium Duty Truck Repair
• Must be able to Work Independently
• Standard Tech Owned Tools Required
• Major Shop Tools and Diagnostic Equipment is Provided
• Other duties may be assigned

PHYSICAL and SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• While performing the duties of this job, the associate will be required to move frequently, stand, walk, and sit. The associate is frequently required to use hands to touch, handle, and feel, and reach with hands and arms. The associate must be able to regularly lift and/or move up to 50lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100lbs with assistance. The associate must be able to read and write reports.
• Implement and enforce Health and Safety rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and prescribed instructions.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Required: Must be current student at college or technical school
• Auto and Preventative Maintenance Techs encouraged to apply
• Must be able to obtain DOT Med Card
