GC Lab Technician

Location: Sugar Land, TX

Pay: $26-$27/hour, depending on experience

We are seeking a GC Lab Technician to support the production of gas chromatography (GC) columns used in industrial and scientific applications. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity offering hands-on experience with laboratory processes, quality control, chemical handling, and production operations.

• Produce and prepare gas chromatography columns in a high-volume laboratory manufacturing setting.
• Perform column conditioning, flow measurements, basic wet chemistry tasks, and chemical handling procedures.
• Operate equipment such as pressure gauges, flow meters, hand tools, and power tools.
• Collect, record, and maintain accurate production and quality data.
• Monitor inventory levels and assist with supply replenishment activities.
• Identify quality concerns, support process improvements, and maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and production schedules to meet customer requirements.

• High school diploma required.
• Coursework in Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, or related technical fields preferred.
• Experience in a laboratory, manufacturing, production, or industrial environment preferred.
• Gas Chromatography experience is a plus but not required.
• Basic Microsoft Office skills and ability to learn new software applications.
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to follow technical procedures.
• Knowledge of chemistry fundamentals, material handling, flow measurement, or pressure systems is highly desirable.
