About This Role

This position serves as a key member of the visitor experience team, supporting the daily operations of campus visits, events, customer service, and facility management. As the first point of contact for guests, the role delivers exceptional customer service by providing accurate information, answering questions, and connecting visitors with appropriate resources. The role coordinates campus and group visit logistics by welcoming visitors, tracking attendance and CRM data, organizing tour dismissals, managing event communications, and providing real-time solutions to ensure a seamless and personalized visitor experience. The position also supports large-scale recruitment events through event preparation, inventory management, materials coordination, and collaboration with campus partners such as Parking Services. Additionally, this position maintains the functionality and appearance of the Berney Family Welcome Center by overseeing office upkeep, managing shared spaces and room reservations, monitoring inventories, and coordinating maintenance requests to ensure a welcoming and professional environment for all visitors.

Worksite Description

This position is On-site.

All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.


What You'll Need to Succeed

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Requires six months of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 1 year of relevant experience. Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.
  • High school diploma (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience as an administrative assistant or office assistant.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with visitors and campus partners.
  • Experience with student information systems.
  • Ability to maintain shifting priorities.
  • Excellent skills in time management and the ability to prioritize work. Includes a high level of initiative in completing duties quickly and accurately.

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an ongoing basis without sponsorship
