The estimated base salary range for this role is $150,000 to $215,000 per year.
Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience and other relevant factors

The Senior Manager, Business Solutions - Supply Chain Applications leads a team responsible for delivering and supporting technology solutions that enable Armstrong's Supply Chain capabilities. This role partners closely with Supply Chain leaders to understand business priorities, develop solution roadmaps, and ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value. The position is accountable for building a high-performing team, fostering strong business relationships, and driving the successful delivery, adoption, and continuous improvement of Supply Chain applications and processes.

What You'll Do

Leadership & Talent Development

  • Build, develop, and lead a high-performing team of managers, analysts, architects, and external partners.
  • Assess organizational capabilities and implement plans to strengthen team effectiveness, technical expertise, and leadership capacity.
  • Establish a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and customer focus.
  • Coach and develop team members through performance management, career development, succession planning, and ongoing feedback.

Strategy & Business Partnership

  • Serve as the primary technology partner for Supply Chain leadership, developing trusted relationships and aligning technology investments with business objectives and operational priorities.
  • Acquire and maintain deep knowledge of Supply Chain business processes and technology trends to anticipate and enable evolving business needs.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, including AI, automation, advanced planning, analytics, and supply chain optimization capabilities, to improve operational performance and business agility.
  • Identify and cultivate technology investments that support strategic business objectives and process improvements.

Portfolio & Solution Management

  • Own the roadmap and lifecycle management of Supply Chain technology solutions, including implementation, enhancement, support, and continuous improvement.
  • Manage and prioritize a portfolio of initiatives that balance business value, operational needs, risk, and resource capacity.
  • Ensure technology investments deliver measurable business outcomes through adoption, process improvement, and operational efficiency.

Architecture & Continuous Improvement

  • Promote global process standardization and leverage enterprise platforms, minimizing unnecessary customization while enabling business differentiation where appropriate.
  • Drive enterprise standardization and reuse of existing platforms, capabilities, and integrations while ensuring solutions meet evolving business needs.
  • Develop and maintain process metrics and key performance indicators to measure portfolio performance and drive continuous improvement.

Financial & Governance

  • Partner in the planning and management of operating and project budgets to ensure technology investments align with business priorities and deliver value.
  • Manage and communicate portfolio priorities, project status, risks, and outcomes to business executives, process owners, and IT leadership.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architecture, Data & Analytics, Cybersecurity, and Infrastructure teams to ensure Supply Chain solutions align with enterprise standards, security requirements, and long-term technology strategy.

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • Directly responsible for 1-4 team leads with responsibility for specific functional areas.
  • Direct and Indirect responsibility for additional 5-20 individual contributors.

What will make you successful

  • Experience supporting Supply Chain business processes and enterprise applications within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success partnering with business executives to define strategy and execute technology-enabled transformation initiatives.
  • Strong technical grasp of S/4Hana or similar ERP system preferably in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in Information Technology, Business Solutions, or related disciplines, including leadership of technical teams.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

  • Certification in either a process discipline (ITIL, PMI, Six Sigma) or technical discipline (SAP, Data Warehousing).
