The salary range for this position takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

At WGU, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their position, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is:

Grade: Professional 304 Pay Range: $51,300.00 - $76,900.00

Job Description

At WGU, we are committed to creating an exceptional student experience. As an Account Partnership Administrator, you will play a critical role in supporting students who utilize third-party sponsorship funding by ensuring accurate billing, timely invoicing, and strong collaboration between students, sponsors, and university partners. Your work will directly contribute to student satisfaction, retention, and successful academic outcomes.
What You'll Do
  • Support established billing and invoicing processes for all third-party sponsored students.
  • Track, prepare, and manage student invoices while ensuring compliance with university deadlines and policies.
  • Provide outstanding customer service by responding to billing, accounts receivable, and student account inquiries and resolving issues as needed.
  • Manage communication and account reconciliations related to sponsorship letters, tuition payments, and account balances.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system.
  • Partner with internal and external stakeholders to resolve escalated student account issues and ensure timely payment processing.
  • Ensure accuracy of records and adherence to university, state, federal, accounting, and financial aid regulations.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • 3 years of experience with Excel, general accounting, and analysis.
  • 3 years of experience in a student accounts, finance, or accounting role, preferably within a higher education setting.
  • Highly detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and organized with exceptional record-keeping accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting theory, practices, and procedures.
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, filtering, and data analysis.
Additional qualifications:
  • Ability to think critically and use data to make informed decisions.
  • Excellent analytical, computational, and mathematical abilities.
  • High level of integrity and trustworthiness.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of general accounting and federal financial aid regulations, rules, and procedures.
  • Strong working knowledge of FERPA regulations, rules, and procedures.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Bonus Points
  • Master's Degree.
  • Experience with student information systems such as Banner.
  • Experience working with federal financial aid programs and processes.
Experience in Lieu of Education
Equivalent relevant experience performing the essential functions of this job may substitute for education degree requirements. Generally, equivalent relevant experience is defined as 1 year of experience for 1 year of education and is at the discretion of the hiring manager.

Work Location
This is a full-time, remote role based in the United States.

This position requires occasional travel of up to 20%, including required attendance at designated company summits (typically one to two per year).
