Job Summary


We're looking for a Vacuum Furnace Technician to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you'll install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair high-temperature vacuum furnace systems used in the processing of critical aerospace components. You'll play a key role in ensuring thermal processing equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably while supporting production, quality, and customer requirements.

Shift: 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday 10:30p-6:30a


Shift Differential: $3.00



What You'll Be Doing



  • Troubleshoot and repair vacuum furnace, heat treat, and supporting equipment
  • Diagnose electrical, mechanical, vacuum, and control system issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance on pumps, valves, seals, power supplies, and furnace components
  • Set up and monitor furnace cycles to support production requirements
  • Perform calibration and pyrometry activities as required
  • Read electrical and mechanical schematics to troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Complete maintenance and repair documentation
  • Support production by minimizing equipment downtime
  • Follow all quality, safety, environmental, and company standards
  • Support Lean and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area



What We're Looking For



  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • Ability to clearly communicate in English, including speaking, reading, writing, and understanding technical documentation.
  • Technical training, military experience, or equivalent industrial maintenance experience
  • 4+ years of experience maintaining industrial vacuum furnaces, heat treat equipment, or similar manufacturing equipment
  • Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics
  • Experience using hand tools, test equipment, and diagnostic instruments
  • Familiarity with PLC-controlled equipment
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality



Nice to Have



  • Experience in aerospace or precision manufacturing
  • Knowledge of AMS 2750 and pyrometry requirements
  • PLC troubleshooting experience
  • Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma experience



Work Environment & Physical Requirements



  • Manufacturing environment with exposure to heat, noise, and industrial equipment
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, climb, and work in confined spaces
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Ability to work at heights when required
  • Must be able to wear required PPE and follow all safety requirements

This position may require work hours outside of the regularly scheduled hours to meet operational needs. This may include work during evenings, weekends, and/or holidays. Additional work hours are assigned based on business requirements. Non-exempt employees will be paid overtime in accordance with applicable federal, state, and local laws.


The salary range for this position reflects a broad spectrum of experience levels. Individual compensation within the range is determined by multiple factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, job related skills, internal equity, and market conditions. We evaluate each candidate individually to ensure fair and competitive pay decisions.
