DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position performs technical duties operating computers and high-volume printers for print production and payment processing. Work focuses on operating essential equipment and accurately processing all details to ensure consistent, high-quality results. As a Computer Operator I, you will:

  • Print Preparation: Work with software to prepare files for printing
  • Printer Use: Operate and monitor check printing machines
  • Payment Processing: Process payment files through workflow systems, verify control numbers and dollar amounts, and resolve discrepancies
  • Record Keeping: Maintain meticulous records of payment processing and printing activities
  • Teamwork Support: Help prioritize tasks, ensure their timely and accurate completion, and keep operations running smoothly

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

  • Full-time employment
  • Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
  • Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
  • Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

  • Two hundred hours of formal basic data processing training; and graduation from high school or certification of equivalent training; or
  • An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

  • You must have experience navigating Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office products.
  • You must be able to perform essential job functions.

Preferred Qualifications (not required):

  • Experience operating high-volume printers or similar equipment
  • Experience with OnBase
  • Ability to adapt to changing requirements and learn new technologies
  • Experience prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment
