Cable Technician Job Description We are seeking a Cable Technician to assist with installing and supporting structured cabling systems. This role involves running, dressing, labeling, testing, and terminating copper and fiber cabling while helping build out network infrastructure. ** Responsibilities * Install and route Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling * Install cable trays and pathways * Dress, label, and organize cables * Terminate and test copper and fiber connections * Assist with rack and stack of network equipment * Read basic drawings and installation plans * Troubleshoot cabling issues as needed * Maintain an organized and safe work area Qualifications * 1+ year of cabling or structured cabling experience * Experience with Cat5, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling * Knowledge of cable termination, testing, and labeling * Familiarity with patch panels, punch-downs, and cable trays * Ability to use basic hand tools and testing equipment * Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Experience Level: Entry Level Schedule: Full-Time Location: On-site Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Offutt Air Force Base, NE.
