This role is based in Raleigh, NC, with occasional travel to our U.S. and Canadian manufacturing facilities. How You'll Make an Impact
- Design mechanical components for distribution transformers and related products.
- Prepare detailed designs and documentation aligned with project requirements.
- Develop innovative concepts to meet customer needs.
- Collaborate across teams-sales, supply chain, manufacturing-for seamless execution.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives without compromising quality.
- Evaluate design performance and cost accuracy to ensure efficiency.
- Provide technical guidance and solve complex engineering challenges.
- Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of design engineering experience in the power industry; transformer experience preferred.
- Skilled in CREO, 3D modeling, simulations, and finite element analysis.
- Familiarity with industry standards (IEEE, ANSI, NEMA, UL, CSA).
- Strong understanding of design-to-cost and design-to-manufacturing principles.
- Proficient in MS Office; SAP experience is a plus.
