University Behavioral Center of Orlando, a subsidiary of Universal Health Services, Inc. (UHS), is committed to providing intensive mental health services to children, adolescents and adults as well as detox and substance abuse programs for adults. Our mental health facility provides safe and effective inpatient treatment to assist individuals in leading more productive and fulfilling lives. The facility is located on a beautiful 14-acre campus in Orlando, Florida, and includes 112 licensed beds.

Position Summary

The Director of Clinical Services provides strategic leadership and operational oversight of all clinical programs and therapeutic services. This role ensures the delivery of high-quality patient care, regulatory compliance, clinical excellence, and staff development while promoting positive patient outcomes in a behavioral health setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Clinical Services Department, including therapists and social workers.
  • Oversee assessments, treatment planning, group programming, and discharge planning.
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, state, federal, and company standards.
  • Monitor clinical outcomes and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Recruit, mentor, and develop clinical staff.
  • Collaborate with hospital leadership to achieve organizational goals and enhance patient care.

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or related behavioral health field.
  • Current Florida licensure (LCSW, LMHC, LMFT, or Psychologist).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive clinical leadership experience in behavioral health or healthcare.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, accreditation standards, and clinical best practices.

Preferred

  • Experience in acute inpatient psychiatric services.
  • Proven success leading multidisciplinary teams and performance improvement initiatives.
