Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is a freestanding, 122 bed facility specializing in general adult psych, adolescents, geriatric, and women's services. We are conveniently located in Southwest Houston, between the Galleria and Meyerland shopping districts, only minutes away from the Houston Medical Center, Downtown, and Midtown.

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking an Admissions/Intake Nurse (RN) to complete assessments and admissions activities for inpatient units and serve as a liaison for Nursing and Intake Departments. This is an exciting opportunity to work in an environment that puts patient care first while also having the opportunity to grow, learn, and advance in your career.

Admissions/Intake Nurse (RN) Position Responsibilities include:

  • Initial triage and medical screening.
  • Assessments for inpatient and outpatient programs.
  • Assess, direct and intervene in crisis situations.
  • Nurse to nurse screenings for patients transferring to our facility.
  • Obtain physician orders, intake calls and pre-certifications.
  • Communicate patient needs to unit nurses, physicians and families.

Admissions/Intake Nurse (RN) Night Shift:

  • Day Shift: 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Qualifications

Position Requirements:

Education:Graduate from a professional nursing program; BSN preferred.

Licensure: Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.

Certifications: Successful completion of CPR and Handle With Care certification; certifications may be obtained during orientation.
