Midwest Center for Youth and Families is an Assessment Coordinator to join our team!

Available Hours: PRN (as needed), day shift

The Midwest Center is a respected healthcare provider, fully accredited, 74-bed private, residential treatment facility with locations in Valparaiso and Kouts, IN.

We are dedicated to care of the hearts and minds of our patients with compassion and superior quality behavioral healthcare services through our full-immersion Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) program for children and adolescents ages 10 - 18 who struggle with emotional, behavioral and mental health challenges.

The Patriot Support Program at Midwest Center offers specialized treatment designed to address the behavioral health needs and challenges of the children of active-duty military, reserve, and national guard members.

Position Summary:

Responsible for overseeing the intake and clinical assessment process for individuals entering a residential treatment facility. This roles serves as a critical point of contact between prospective clients, referral sources, families, and the clinical team, ensuring that each individual receives a thorough, accurate, and timely evaluation to determine appropriate level of care and treatment planning

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

*conduct clinical assessments (biopsychosocial, psychiatric)

*coordinate admissions

*risk and safety evaluation

*insurance & authorization support

*interdisciplinary collaboration

*documentation & compliance

*crisis triage

Qualifications

Requirements:

*Master's degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field (MSW/MA), OR RN with active, unrestricted state license is required.
*1-3 years of experience in a clinical, behavioral health, or psychiatric setting.

*Prior experience conducting assessments, intakes, or admissions required.

*Familiarity with level-of-care criteria required.

*Strong understanding of biopsychosocial assessment methods and DSM-5 diagnostic criteria.
*Must be 21 years old
