Project Coordinator III

Location: Redmond, WA - Hybrid

Duration: 12 months, with potential for extension

Experience Required: 5-7 years

Education: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field

Work Schedule: Flexible; occasional early-morning or late-start hours may be required for meetings outside typical PST hours, approximately once per week on a case-by-case basis.


Position Overview

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Project Coordinator III to support a fast-paced engineering and hardware development environment. This role will work closely with Program Managers, Technical Leads, Engineers, external development partners, suppliers, Finance, Purchasing, and other cross-functional stakeholders.

The position will support project management, engineering development activities, international shipping and logistics, supplier coordination, documentation, scheduling, and tracking of prototype builds and deliverables.

The ideal candidate is proactive, comfortable managing multiple priorities, and able to operate effectively in an environment where priorities and schedules can change quickly.


Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Program Managers, Technical Leads, and Engineers to organize and manage workstreams.
  • Support overall project management activities and track project progress.
  • Track prototype builds, engineering deliverables, and development milestones.
  • Use Jira to track engineering development activities and tasks.
  • Manage and coordinate international shipping, receiving, and logistics, including shipment of samples.
  • Track international shipments and ensure high-priority deliveries are handled with urgency.
  • Coordinate with external development partners and track their tasks, deliverables, and progress.
  • Map and track the progress of Statements of Work (SOWs) with external development partners.
  • Work with Finance and Purchasing to onboard suppliers, obtain proposals and quotations, place orders, and track deliveries.
  • Assist engineering teams with development documentation, project artifacts, and related materials.
  • Maintain project documentation and update internal website information.
  • Collect project information and organize presentations, dashboards, and status updates for stakeholders.
  • Maintain meeting notes and track action items.
  • Build and maintain project schedules and work breakdown structures.
  • Coordinate across hardware engineering, logistics, accounting, suppliers, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Respond quickly to critical and time-sensitive requests.


Required Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have Skills

  1. International Shipping & Logistics

    • Hands-on experience with international shipping, receiving, and logistics.
    • Experience supporting shipments involving Asia is highly preferred.


  2. Jira for Engineering Development

    • Experience using Jira to track engineering development, tasks, and deliverables.


  3. Project Management

    • Minimum 3 years of project/program management experience.
    • Experience developing schedules, tracking milestones, and managing project deliverables.




Must-Have Soft Skills

  • Scheduling: Ability to manage program schedules, complications, changes, and uncertainty.
  • Attention to Detail: Strong ability to monitor deliverables, collect information, track actions, and maintain accurate documentation.
  • Multitasking: Ability to manage multiple suppliers, projects, and priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Proactive and comfortable asking questions or seeking clarification when needed.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with NPI (New Product Introduction) and new consumer hardware.
  • Understanding of basic design and development processes for consumer electronic products.
  • Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Experience with hardware development and product launch.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
  • Experience at companies such as Apple or Amazon in hardware-related environments, or adjacent industries such as defense contracting, Boeing, or aerospace.


Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of relevant professional experience preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in program/project management.
  • Experience constructing work breakdown structures for development schedules and resource planning.
  • Preferred experience supporting the development and launch of consumer products.


Key Project & Day-to-Day Responsibilities

The role will support a smart glass/display technology project and associated development activities.

Day-to-day responsibilities may include:



  • Overall project coordination and management.
  • International shipment and logistics tracking.
  • Shipping and receiving development samples.
  • Tracking prototype builds and project deliverables.
  • Maintaining project documentation, artifacts, and records.
  • Managing Jira and Excel-based tracking.
  • Coordinating with engineering, logistics, accounting, suppliers, and external partners.
  • Supporting schedules, dashboards, presentations, and stakeholder updates.
  • Handling urgent, high-priority shipment and project requests.
