Work Schedule: 100% FTE, 40 hours per week, day shift. Weekly schedule will be Monday - Friday, 8am-4:30pm. This position will work onsite at American Family Children's Hospital at University Hospital at 1675 Highland Ave., Madison, WI. We are seeking a Sr. Casting Technician-Pediatric to: Join our Orthopedic surgeons who provide a full range of surgical services. Collaborate with all medical staff to determine the most appropriate cast or brace for a patient with particular diagnosis and treatment(s). Assist with development and follow policies and procedures relating to cast room staff duties. Provide quality care to pediatric patients in a compassionate and patient-family centered environment. Apply and remove casts, apply and adjust braces and splints, perform suture removal and minor wound care, and stocking supplies. Promote healthy lifestyles, wellness and education.
