ChristianaCare is seeking Medical Laboratory Scientists (MLS) and Medical Laboratory Technicians (MLT) to join our General Laboratory team at Christiana Hospital in Newark, Delaware.

Multiple Schedules Available - Find the Right Fit for You

We know schedule matters. That's why we're recruiting for several full-time opportunities within our General Laboratory.

Current schedules include:

• Evening Shift: 2:30 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.

• Day Shift: 7:00am - 3:30pm
• Full-Time Flex - Evening Shift: 2:30pm - 11:30pm

Weekend rotation: Every other weekend required

Holiday rotation: 2-3 holidays per year required

Eligible evening and weekend hours receive additional shift differential pay.

What You'll Do

As an MLS/MLT in our General Laboratory, you'll provide accurate, timely laboratory results that clinicians rely on to make important patient-care decisions. You'll:

• Perform clinical laboratory testing accurately and efficiently

• Operate and maintain automated laboratory instrumentation

• Perform quality control and document appropriate corrective actions

• Verify critical values, specimen identification and test results

• Help ensure STAT and routine testing meets established turnaround times

• Follow laboratory quality, infection prevention and safety standards

• Collaborate with laboratory and clinical colleagues to support exceptional patient care

Qualifications:

Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)

• Bachelor's degree in medical technology, Medical Laboratory Science, Biochemistry or an equivalent bachelor's degree that includes completion of required clinical laboratory rotations through an approved education program.

Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.

Preferred:

• ASCP certification

• Knowledge of clinical laboratory techniques and procedures

• Experience with automated laboratory equipment

• Ability to manage multiple tests and priorities with accuracy
