Administrative Officer 3 (25% Part-Time Limited)

The Department of Medicine is seeking a highly organized and collaborative Program Manager to support the planning, development, and execution of program operations in alignment with organizational goals and objectives. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day program activities, coordinate strategic initiatives, manage deliverables, and support continuous program growth and success.

Key responsibilities include program planning and implementation, stakeholder communication, staff supervision and training, financial oversight, grant writing, and ensuring compliance with UCLA, state, and federal regulations. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrate strong organizational and leadership skills, and effectively collaborate with internal teams and external partners to achieve program objectives.

Hourly range: $42.05-$64.00

• Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Minimum of 5 years as a project lead in a business/admin unit within a basic science/clinical department or service line
• Understanding of strategic leadership, planning, and change management approaches in a complex environment, preferably a research-intensive medical school/health system
• Ability to demonstrate an entry level of diplomacy in persuading and influencing people at various levels to achieve results
• Ability to identify and analyze pertinent information and data to make and communicate recommendations and decisions
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to serve as a partner in maintaining a culture of integrity and accountability
• Understanding of financial planning concepts as they pertain to academic health care, research, and higher education
• Ability to serve as a receptive listener who seeks to understand differing sides of each situation
• Demonstrated ability to communicate medical, policy, and administrative information in English
