Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required; technical training or an associate degree in Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field preferred. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required. Knowledge of ERP/MRP systems is a plus. IPC/WHMA-A-620 and J-STD-001 certifications preferred or willingness to obtain certification. Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 13485, and AS9100 quality standards preferred. Experience Requirements 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, preferably in electronics, cable assembly, or wire harness manufacturing. 1-3 years of quality inspection or quality assurance experience required. Experience conducting in-process inspections, final inspections, audits, and receiving inspections. Knowledge of root cause analysis tools such as 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Why methodologies. Experience with corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), process improvement, and quality reporting. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Physical Capabilities Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and use hands throughout the workday. Frequent use of computers, keyboards, measuring devices, and inspection tools. Ability to lift up to 25-50 lbs. with or without assistance. Strong visual acuity, including the ability to distinguish colors and perform microscope-assisted inspections. Ability to work in a manufacturing environment while maintaining high levels of accuracy and attention to detail. Job Duties Perform in-process and final inspections to ensure products meet customer, regulatory, and quality standards. Support receiving inspections, PPAPs, First Article Inspections (FAI), and process audits. Track, analyze, and report quality metrics, inspection data, trends, and non-conformances. Calibrate and maintain measurement and testing equipment. Investigate quality issues using root cause analysis tools, including 8D, Fishbone, and 5 Why methodologies. Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality concerns and implement corrective actions. Identify process improvement opportunities and support continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor key process characteristics and assist in developing process control plans. Maintain compliance with ISO 9001, ISO 13485, AS9100, customer requirements, and internal quality procedures.
