Corporate Meetings & Events Planner

As a Corporate Meetings & Events Planner, you will manage the planning and execution of mid-complexity meetings and events that support business objectives, employee engagement, leadership development, organizational effectiveness, and corporate initiatives across Lam Research.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Corporate Meetings & Events, you will serve as the primary planning resource for assigned meetings and events, partnering closely with business sponsors, Corporate Communications, Executive Assistants, and functional stakeholders to deliver seamless event experiences.

This role is responsible for venue sourcing, hotel contracting, room block management, logistics coordination, vendor management, budget administration, attendee experience, and onsite execution while ensuring events align with company standards and business objectives.

Event Planning & Execution

• Plan and execute leadership meetings, business planning sessions, employee engagement events, workshops, training programs, and team offsites.
• Develop event timelines, project plans, and execution schedules.
• Manage registration, attendee communications, and event materials.
• Lead onsite, virtual, and hybrid event execution.
• Conduct site visits and support event readiness reviews.

Venue Sourcing & Supplier Management

• Source and negotiate hotels, venues, and meeting facilities.
• Manage event contracts, hotel room blocks, and attendee accommodations.
• Coordinate catering, audiovisual, transportation, and event suppliers.
• Monitor supplier performance and resolve operational issues.
• Partner with Procurement and Legal on contract review and compliance requirements.

Stakeholder Partnership

• Consult with business sponsors to understand event objectives and requirements.
• Partner with Corporate Communications, Executive Assistants, Administrative Assistants, Travel, Facilities, and Catering teams.
• Provide planning recommendations, status updates, and event support.
• Manage stakeholder expectations and planning timelines.

Financial Stewardship & Reporting

• Develop and manage event budgets.
• Track expenses and support invoice reconciliation.
• Conduct post-event evaluations and attendee surveys.
• Recommend improvements that enhance event effectiveness and attendee experience.

Event Technology

• Utilize Cvent to manage registration, attendee communications, event websites, surveys, and reporting.
  Support standardization of event processes and technology adoption.

Minimum Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in corporate meetings, events, hospitality, or related fields.
• Experience planning and executing meetings, conferences, workshops, or corporate events.
• Experience with venue sourcing, hotel negotiations, and supplier management.
• Strong project management, organizational, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience managing budgets and multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proficiency with Cvent or similar event management platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting executive meetings and leadership events.
• Knowledge of event contracting, room block management, and attendee logistics.
• Experience working in a global corporate environment.
• CMP certification or equivalent event management credentials.

Lam offers a variety of work location models based on the needs of each role. Our hybrid roles combine the benefits of on-site collaboration with colleagues and the flexibility to work remotely and fall into two categories - On-site Flex and Virtual Flex. 'On-site Flex' you'll work 3+ days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, with the opportunity to work remotely for the balance of the week. 'Virtual Flex' you'll work 1-2 days per week on-site at a Lam or customer/supplier location, and remotely the rest of the time.
