Georgia-Pacific is seeking Machine Operators and Forklift Drivers at our Rincon, GA facility to manufacture tissue, towel, and napkins safely and efficiently. This position offers opportunities for development within your role and future growth within the company. Our team members work a rotating 12-hour shift to include weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. They work in an environment that is hot, humid, cold, dusty, and noisy, and may sometimes work around oil chemicals and other substances. Starting pay is $20.00 per hour for Machine Operators and $19.00 per hour for Forklift Drivers.

Our Team

The Savannah River Mill has operated in Rincon since 1986 and produces tissue, towel, and napkin products using primarily recycled fiber. Five of the world's 12 largest tissue paper machines reside at the facility. Our team works together to operate safely, improve performance, and create value for employees, customers, and communities.

What You Will Do

• Identify hazards, reduce risk, and follow all safety, quality, and product-safety requirements
• Operate mobile or production equipment safely within established operating targets and limits
• Monitor equipment performance, identify issues, and communicate improvement opportunities to the team
• Perform basic troubleshooting and support equipment reliability activities appropriate to the assigned role
• Communicate operational information clearly through verbal, written, and electronic tools
• Move to priority work as business and operational needs change
• Perform the physical tasks required in the assigned area throughout a rotating 12-hour shift

This may include but is not limited to: lifting, pushing/pulling, gripping, reaching, sitting, walking, standing, bending, climbing ladders/stairs, working at heights

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Experience working in a manufacturing, industrial, farming, construction, and/or military environment
• Experience working with others or as part of a team
• High School Diploma or GED
