Essential Functions:
* Maintain a maintenance and project checklist/schedule for preventive maintenance and ongoing improvements on all equipment used in the laundry.
* Working knowledge of all machines, including but not limited to dryers, sheet and towel folders, washers, and steam presser.
* Diagnose malfunctioning equipment and repair as quickly and efficiently as possible.
* Communicate with manager to coordinate, acknowledge, document and complete the work necessary.
* Assist other general maintenance associates with work as needed. May be required to work in other areas of the resort when necessary.
* Completes other duties as assigned
Tools and Equipment:
* Radio
* Telephone
* Various tools as needed for specific work
* Steam presser, washing machine, dryers
Working Environment:
* Interior of hotel. Exposure to extreme heat and humidity.
* Exposure to hazardous laundry cleaning chemicals.
Qualifications:
Previous maintenance experience required, hotel experience and training preferred.
Minimum of two years hotel and/or commercial building maintenance required.
One year of commercial kitchen and laundry equipment experienceis required, commercial refrigeration experience is a plus.
Previous experience with response to emergency situations is required.
Good communication, attention to detail, time management, computer and guest satisfaction skills are required.
The ability to stand/walk for long periods of time.
The ability to crawl for short periods of time.
The ability to bend, reach over-head, squat, kneel for extended periods of time.
The ability to lift/carry/push/pull up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
The ability to utilize step stools and ladders.
Knowledge in electrical systems, low voltage controls, plumbing and gas
Experience in reading schematics.
