Job Description
Role - AI-Native Software Engineer, Cloud (AWS) Responsibilities *
You have proven experience serving as a software engineer for web application projects, hosted On-Prem and Cloud, supporting a large customer base. *
You know when to build and when to reach for a managed AWS service - you can justify that trade-off based on the problem. *
You think in systems and evaluate designs critically - whether reviewing AI-generated code or your own architecture - catching the subtle bug, security gap, or design choice that won't hold up under load or misuse. *
You use spec-driven development with AI as your default way of engineering software. *
You treat performance as a design constraint, not a tuning pass after the fact. *
You pick up new tools and approaches quickly, since the effective way to work with AI changes often, and you'd rather adapt early than fall behind. *
You are decisive without being divisive - you can analytically weigh trade-offs, balance competing priorities, and drive decisions that span organizational boundaries. *
You have excellent communication and organization skills. Minimum Qualifications *
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or demonstrated equivalent experience. *
Demonstrated fluency in leveraging AI technologies across the entire software development lifecycle, including breaking down user stories into actionable tasks, AI-assisted coding and testing, automated defect resolution, and deployment of fully tested software. *
Deep, hands-on experience building and deploying production systems on AWS (e.g., EC2, Lambda, ECS/EKS, S3, RDS/DynamoDB, API Gateway), with a record of real, customer-facing applications running in production. *
Server-side software development experience with Python, Java, NodeJS, and/or other similar technologies; client-side web application development experience using React, Backbone, native JavaScript, and/or other comparable technologies. *
Expertise in building secure, large-scale systems using fault-tolerant technologies (such as Elasticsearch, CockroachDB, Oracle, MongoDB & Kafka). *
AWS certification (e.g., Solutions Architect, Developer) and/or CISSP/CCSP or similar security certification useful, not required.
