. Additional Job Description: West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Urology seek a Urologist (ranks available: Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, West Virginia. Duties: The successful candidate will practice in Urology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a Urology residency program. Successful candidates must be board certified/eligible in Urology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment. This opportunity is unique in that the successful candidate will join WVU Medicine with the full support of motivated Division Chiefs in General and Reconstructive Urology during a period of significant growth within our department. Opportunities can be made available to customize the successful candidate's practice with support for accelerated career growth and integration within our busy practice. There is extensive need for General Urology services, and we anticipate a minimal ramp-up period; therefore, we can offer opportunities that exist within Female Pelvic Reconstructive Surgery, if the successful candidate would like to pursue a blended practice with an emphasis in this area. Our Department of Urology is the leading urologic resource in the state and surrounding regions and is nationally ranked by the US News and World Report. We deliver care across the entire spectrum of urologic disease for children and adults. As a leader in medical education, the department provides enhanced clinical urology instruction and training to residents, hospital physicians, and staff members. Additionally, we maintain comprehensive urologic research protocols on both the basic and clinical levels. What about the community?
