Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 Gundersen Tri-County is seeking an Exercise Physiologist! This is your opportunity to provide care to patients in Tri County's brand-new hospital. We serve patients in three primary care clinics, a 25-bed critical-access hospital, and in anUrgent Care and Emergency Department. What you will do:
The Cardiac Rehabilitation Nurse/Specialist or Exercise Physiologist implements and supervises a physical exercise program for disease and healthy populations. The employee communicates, organizes, and works cooperatively as a member of the healthcare team to continuously improve the quality of patient care services delivered. The employee serves as a professional resource for the department, the health care team, and the community. Main Responsibilities: 1. Effectively performs specified assessment preceding, during and after exercise, and initiates appropriate intervention to maintain safety of patient. Education and Learning: REQUIRED Bachelor's of Science degree in Nursing, or Bachelor or Master of Science Degree in Exercise Physiology or equivalent. Work Experience: REQUIRED Successful completion of clinical internship or advance training DESIRED 1-3 years of experience in Cardiac Rehabilitation License and Certifications: REQUIRED Current Infant-Adult Basic Life Support for Health Care Providers (with hands on learning) from one of the following programs; American Heart Association or American Red Cross. ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) within 6 months of hire DESIRED ACSM Exercise Specialist or Exercise Physiology Registry Age Specific Population Served: Adult (18 - 64 years) Geriatric (65 years & older) OSHA Category: Category I - All Employees in this job title have a reasonably anticipated risk of occupational exposure to blood and/or other potentially infectious materials. Environmental Conditions: Not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (as in typical office or administrative work). Exposed to infectious diseases.
