Position Highlights:

  • Position: Food Service Assistant Lead
  • Hourly Pay Range: $18.31 - $25.63. The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.
  • Location: Elmhurst Hospital - Elmhurst, IL
  • Part Time | 20 hours/week
  • Hours: Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM - 8:00 PM with every other weekend and rotating holidays

What you will do:

  • This position is part of the team that insures safe and fresh delivery of foods and services to patients as well as customers in a timely and professional manner.
  • Functioning in a lead capacity, with direct responsibility for the workload and workflow of the team.
  • Responsible for assembling and serving meal trays to patients in an efficient and timely manner.
  • Retrieving soiled trays and recording patient intake.

What you will need:

  • Education: High School Diploma or GED
  • Experience: A minimum of two years of previous food service experience in a healthcare environment
  • Certification: State of Illinois ANSI Accredited Food Handlers Certificate within 30 days of start date of position for employees working on their Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate
  • Certification: State of Illinois Food Service Sanitation Manager Certificate required within three (3) months of hire
