The Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct is a department within the Division of Student Affairs that handles matters concerning academic integrity and student conduct (i.e., alleged violations of University Policies and/or campus regulations regarding the activity of students and alleged violations of academic misconduct). This is the only office on campus that deals with academic integrity and student conduct matters for the whole campus and enforces the Policies Applying to Campus Activities, Organizations and Students, established by the Regents of the University of California. The Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct administers the student conduct process on campus in a manner that encourages student development and provides conflict resolution that is respectful of all parties through the consistent and objective application of campus and University policy. Through this process, the Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct may decide on sanctions that may irrevocably alter the lives of students and has the potential to lead to high profile lawsuits, audits, and investigations. Your Role on the Team Utilizing advanced, specialized expertise, the Academic Integrity & Student Conduct Specialist is responsible for independently investigating, adjudicating, and processing complex cases referred to the Office of Academic Integrity & Student Conduct (OAISC). Cases include, but are not limited to: academic misconduct, student conduct, students in distress, and sexual violence and sexual harassment. Using advanced knowledge and skills as a seasoned, experienced Student Services professional, performs the full range of duties and responsibilities within a Student Life specialization. Assesses situations and determines appropriate action and referral. Works independently under general direction to provide information and interpretation of complex policies, procedures and regulations. Independently determines sanctions that may irrevocably alter the lives of students and has the potential to lead to high profile lawsuits, audits, and investigations.
