Conduct power system studies using various simulation platforms. Analyze and verify the performance of FACTS plants in the connected grid. Perform voltage regulation and operation studies during wide-area disturbances. Engage in power oscillation damping and sub-synchronous interaction analysis. Investigate failures and tune advanced controllers. Create detailed reports and present findings to customers. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on project and tender deliveries. Participate in customer meetings to understand and address their needs.
Your background
M.Sc. or Ph.D. in electrical engineering or a related field. Ten years of experience in power systems and control system analysis. Proficiency in PSCAD, RTDS, PSSE, or other power system simulation tools. Strong communication skills and ability to work in a multicultural environment. Extensive knowledge of high-power electronic converters and their control. Ability to manage multiple projects and deliver high-quality results. Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
