Senior Manager, Payer Marketing

Overview

We are seeking an energetic individual with solid market access experience, excellent communication skills and a strong interest in the US healthcare and payer system. This individual will be a core member of the US Market Access team and will work to operationalize and execute US managed care strategies and tactics. The US Market Access team at Alnylam engages US Commercial, Medicaid, and Federal Payers to build access to Alnylam's current and future therapeutics. The individual in this role will work closely with all Market Access functions including National and Regional Accounts, Pricing & Contracting, Field Reimbursement, and Contract Analytics as well as Global Market Access.

This person will support the development of high-impact tactics to educate US payers, providers and other relevant stakeholders about Alnylam, our RNAi technology, our commitment to patients, our portfolio of therapeutics, and the serious diseases we address. They will also play a key role in coordinating payer congresses, payer market research projects, and other payer engagement/awareness opportunities.

The position will report to the Director, US Market Access and will be located in Cambridge, MA.

Summary of Key Responsibilities

  • Manage development and execution of payer marketing tactics for currently marketed products (TTR: AMVUTTRA and ONPATTRO, Rare: GIVLAARI and OXLUMO)
  • Support execution of payer marketing strategy across brands
  • Help create market access materials such as payer value propositions, coding & billing guides, provider coverage sheets to facilitate product access.
  • Oversee the execution of multi-channel marketing campaigns targeting payers and other market access stakeholders
  • Lead development and updating initiatives to enable field teams to pull through access in collaboration with broader Market Access team, brand marketing, and sales
  • Develop and expand upon US Market Access reporting capabilities as needed
  • Develop high-impact payer-facing personal and non-personal materials to educate payers and other relevant stakeholders
  • Lead development and maintenance of Field Reimbursement provider facing materials and messaging
  • Coordinate payer congress presence and internal market access meetings
  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams including Brand Marketing, Patient Services, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Sales, Data Services, Compliance, and Legal
  • Manage medical/legal/regulatory process for payer marketing and field reimbursement materials.
  • Print production and management responsibility
  • Engage and manage external vendors for timely and on budget delivery of projects
  • Support launch planning and execution for pipeline products
  • Office/hybrid (remote/office) role
  • Up to 25% travel

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in science, business, economics or a related field; MBA or other advanced degree preferred
  • 6+ years industry experience required, or 2+ years experience in Market Access, Brand Marketing, HEOR, or Medical Affairs
  • Experience with buy & bill and sales pull through is a plus
  • Eective planning, prioritization, management, and organizational skills
