Overview

This role will assist with building an end-to-end process for either Clinical Study Conduct or Clinical Study Close-out. These projects aim to create road maps for our staff to understand the end-to-end process and not just their role, and to successfully navigate these key and cross-functionally complex stages of clinical trial conduct by bringing together the dozens of processes across Development. Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:

  • Assist in identifying key process steps and corresponding key roles involved in the end-to-end process for either Clinical Study Conduct and/or Clinical Study Close-out.
  • Assist with the translation of these process steps into corresponding documents such as Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI), Workflows, and managed layer documents.
  • Participate in process meetings, assisting with meeting minutes and documentation of key points.
  • Support project timelines, milestones, and communication.

Learning Outcomes

1. Learning Objective #1: Better understanding of Good Clinical Practice expectations for sponsors

2. Learning Objective #2: A cross-functional awareness of how we conduct clinical trials at Alnylam, and an understanding of the roles involved and their responsibilities.

3. Learning Objective #3: Experience identifying process current state, facilitating cross-functional process mapping and using process design to lower risk and increase effectiveness

Qualifications

  • Working towards a bachelor's degree in health sciences
  • Basic knowledge of drug development process
  • Project/process management experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
  • General knowledge of process flows preferred
  • Previous industry experience preferred
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.
  • At least 18 years of age prior to scheduled start date

This is a full-time 10-12 weeks assignment spanning approximately May 20 - Aug 29
